Farouk Ladha founded Four Rivers Group in 2007 and serves as the firm’s Managing Partner. Prior to founding FRG, Farouk was a Managing Director at SVB Capital, the venture capital arm of Silicon Valley Bank (Nasdaq: SIVB). Prior to SVB Capital, Farouk worked at Broadview in the technology M&A group, and at PwC in the turnaround group consulting to businesses in crisis. Farouk began his career in sales and channel development at an inventory management startup selling into the healthcare space.

Since founding Four Rivers, a number of Farouk’s investments have been successfully acquired or become public companies. These include Assurex Health (Acquired by Myriad Genetics), New Relic (NYSE: NEWR), FireEye (Nasdaq: FEYE), Aerohive (Nasdaq: HIVE), Corrigo (Acquired by JLL), Check (Acquired by Intuit), Carbonite (Nasdaq: CARB), Sabrix (Acquired by Thomson Reuters), Tintri (Nasdaq: TNTR), Satmetrix (Acquired by NICE Systems), Talari (Acquired by Oracle), Return Path (Acquired by Validity), Power Reviews (Acquired by BazaarVoice), Thousand Eyes (Acquired by Cisco), and Kenna Security (Acquired by Cisco).

At SVB Capital, Farouk managed the firm’s direct equity group and led investments in Gracenote (Acquired by Sony), CipherTrust (Acquired by Secure Computing), PGP Corporation (Acquired by Symantec), Inquira (Acquired by Oracle), and Xoom (Nasdaq: XOOM).

Farouk is actively involved in the community and volunteers in numerous capacities within the Aga Khan Development Network (www.AKDN.org). Farouk has also been appointed to the Board of Directors of New School San Francisco (www.newschoolsf.org) as well as the Board of Directors of Safe Water Network (www.safewaternetwork.org).

Farouk earned a B.A. in economics and a minor in Islamic Studies, graduating summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and with High Honors from Dartmouth College and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
